MendelRace 2020 - canceled!

Today, Saturday 18 April, would have been the day: Date for the opening race of the Südtirol.Berg.Cup Edition 2020 - the MendelRace.

The weather in a TOP mood; about 150 athletes from home and abroad, ready to compete on the almost 15 kilometres up to the Mendel Pass ... maybe Michael Spögler would have repeated his last year's victory, but maybe there would have been a completely new winner at the Mendel Pass. In any case, it would have been very exciting again!

But unfortunately everything is different this year: the starting area is deserted, as is the pass road and the finish area. No spectators to cheer on the athletes, no one to cheer, and no awards for the best.

We look forward with confidence to next year's edition: the MendelRace 2021 will then be in its 5th edition, a small anniversary, so to speak.
Postponed is not abandoned. We are looking forward to seeing you all again, whether you are taking part for the first time or have been participating since the beginning. All with the same passion: (racing) cycling.
