Various MTB and road races in the region

On the three past weekends, our athletes participated more or less successfully in various MTB and road races in our region.

In Tuenno, Albert Rinner took a good 2nd place in the veteran category (35 years and older). His club mates Stefan Kraner and Klaus Ebner alias Pippo crossed the finish line in 15th and 23rd place respectively, whereby it must be emphasised that these two are competing in the most fiercely contested senior category (19-34 years).

In Costa Savina (Pergine), Albert Rinner came third. His team colleagues Stefan Kraner and Klaus Ebner, mentioned above, were again in the top ranks, in 15th and 13th place respectively. Johann Telfner had a really bad day, he finished quite far behind.

Alber Rinner was able to win the 1st TopRace of the region in Romeno (Nonstal) last Sunday. Stefan Kraner came in a good sixteenth among more than 100 starters. Klaus ebner followed the race from the sidelines after a puncture. Johanna Ambach, on her entry into the MTB scene, came in second behind none other than Maria Canins.

At a road race in Hafling, which is part of the CSAIN championship, Johann Telfner was able to fully redeem himself from his unsuccessful MTB race on Sunday. He took an excellent 2nd place in the sprint after leaving the field behind with a fellow escapee. His team mates Silvano Corona and Marcello Paternoster, whose task it was to cover the escape, were still able to finish in the top ten with 7th and 10th place respectively.

The Bike Club team does not allow itself any rest. Next Saturday our team will be at the start with the MTB in Neumarkt. The following Saturday, the home race in Kaltern is on the programme. Therefore, today we call on all members: for organisational reasons, we need the help of every single person for this one day. If you are willing to help us, please come to the wine terrace today, Friday, where we will discuss the course of the event and where everyone will be assigned their special tasks.
