MTB race in Vigo Meano near Gardolo (TN)

Last Sunday, our athletes competed in their first mountain bike race of the season in Vigo Meano near Gardolo.
They had to complete four laps of a highly challenging course. The 30-kilometre course was a tough one, and some riders promptly had to pay tribute to the high initial pace. Albert Rinner, supported by Velosport Bolzano, got off to a good start, finishing 2nd in his category behind the superior overall winner Silvano Janes. "Cecko" Todesco, Werner Weiss and Johann Telfner finished the race in their category in this order in the midfield.

Next Sunday 28th March 1993 in Madrano near Pergine we will be competing for top race points, which will enable us to take part in the Italian Championships... of course our team will be there again.

As you will already know, our regular pub is closed until further notice. In the meantime, we will be meeting as usual on Friday evenings at the Laubencafè in Kaltern Dorf. Membership cards and race licences can be purchased on the spot. On Saturdays, we start our training rides from the old railway station in Eppan at around 1.30 pm. We always cover between 70 and 80 easy kilometres. The bigger the group, the more fun we have. So come along and join in the fun!
