Mountain Bike Youth Trophy in Oberplanitzing 1998

The first race of this year's mountain bike series for the Children's Trophy took place on Saturday 25 April 1998 in bright sunshine and summer temperatures.
The venue was the former rubbish dump in Kaltern/Oberplanitzing, where we were able to set a very suitable and not too difficult course for the children.
With over 50 participants from all over South Tyrol, the race was very well attended. From 6 to 14 years old, everyone fought bravely and with great commitment over the winding course to achieve a good placing.
Despite some jostling at the start and a few falls into the soft grass, all the children were happy because there were great prizes for every participant.
We would therefore like to thank everyone who contributed to the smooth running of the event.
The municipality of Kaltern for providing the terrain, all those who donated prizes, the Kalterer Sportverein for providing helmets and race numbers, and all the club members and non-members who actively supported us.
