1st edition of "Tschögglberger Media-Bike" 1999 in Vöran/Verano (BZ)

 

The Sportclub Vöran organised the 1st Tschögglberger Media Bike for the first time.
Over 70 participants took part in the event. The route ran over a beautiful 30 km course, with 1,000 metres of elevation gain to overcome. Some of our riders did not miss the opportunity to take part in this race, with the hobby riders also getting their money's worth. The race was held in the men's licence and men's hobby categories.
Palma Richard and Giovanazzi Martin were at the start for the licence riders. The two were neck and neck from the start. After a few kilometres, however, Martin was able to pull out a lead. Despite a crash, he eventually finished in 11th place with a time of 1h 35min. Richard finished in 12th place with a time of 1h 37min.
Our hobby riders Zöggeler Peter, Giovanelli Reinhard and Gottardi Guido rode a very good race. A confident race for Peter, who won the hobby class. Reinhard, who was not spared a rollover and was more than satisfied with his first "shorter" race, finished in 10th place. On the other hand, Guido, who had a lot of fun in the race, came 22nd.
Despite all this, the event was a great success and our riders are already looking forward to next year.
