MTB Championship South Tyrol 1999 in Nals

This year's South Tyrolean MTB championships took place in Nals on 20 June 1999. A circuit of 8 km and 280 metres in altitude per lap had to be mastered.
Despite difficulties at the start, things went well for Werner again. Even a crash on the third lap couldn't stop him. After a time of 1h52, Werner was able to celebrate as national champion in his category.
Klaus Fontana from Olang won the overall classification ahead of another man from Eppan, Manfred Steiner.
Richard Palma is improving from race to race, finishing 4th in his category. So it should be enough for the podium in the next race.
