Mountain bike race in Gardolo: first race, first win

There is no better way to start a season.
Werner Weiss was able to show off his good form at the start of the mountain bike races this year. In Gardolo near Trento, the starting shot was fired in our region on Sunday 28 March 2000. The riders set off at 10 a.m. to tackle the 30 kilometre circuit. Werner kept up with the leading group right from the start. After 90 minutes, he finished the race in first place in the amateur category. In the overall classification he finished in 5th place.
The race continues next weekend, with a road race in Trento on Saturday and another mountain bike race (Bardolino Bike 2000) in Bardolino on Lake Garda on Easter Monday.
