TOUR Transalp 2019 - Etappe #4

Bormio -> Livigno

It was the announced hard stage, with the crossing of the 4 passes Umbrail Pass (2.503 m), Ofenpass (2.149 m), Berninapass (2.328 m) and last but not least the Forcola di Livigno (2.315 m).
The team Kaltern am See with our two racers Richard Palma and Christian Resch lost in the age group of the Grand Masters further ground on the podium places, but could successfully fend off the attack of the behind them in 5th place classified from "Team Hph", and landed after 5:30.20 hours again on the 4th place.

Tomorrow's 5th stage is once again a little shorter, but will not give the participants much time for a break: after the two rather short climbs to the Passo d'Eira (2,208 m) and the Passo del Foscagno (2,291 m) then waits - after the long descent down to Mazzo di Valtellina - namely the notorious Passo del Mortirolo (1,852 m) with its average gradient of over 10%. The subsequent stretch to the finish in Aprica offers a true panorama, with magnificent views of the Valtellina and the Adamello group - which our racers will hopefully be able to enjoy a little ...
