MTB Cross Country on Saturday 17th September in Cavareno (TN): for the children's categories from 7 to 12 years old (Giovanissimi) the 2nd edition of the Mini Val di Non Bike took place; in addition, this year for the first time also the Val di Non Bike Young for Esordienti and Allivi (13-16 years).

This was Jakob Weger's first time in an official FCI junior race: starting from 23rd position on the grid, he was able to slowly fight his way forward in the 5 shorter laps to be completed, and reached the finish line after just under 11 minutes in a great 9th place.

In the following youth race, Julia Kostner (ED1) and Johannes "Jo" Bendetta (ES2) followed him onto the track: the two had 3 (Julia) and 4 (Jo) long laps to do respectively. The start was in one block for all youth categories, so both were on the track almost at the same time.
Julia had a good start, as in the previous races, but had to give way to another strong Sophie Messmer, and reached the finish in 2nd place. Johannes did not have too many chances in the strong field of participants, and placed after 4 even laps on 11th place.
