Daniel Cavosi on the podium again / ups and downs for the team

On the weekend of 6 and 7 May, Bassano del Grappa was the venue for the Veneto Regional Championship in MTB Enduro.
The Dynamic Bike Team from Eppan sent 5 Enduro riders - Thomas Ansaloni, Daniel Cavosi, Jo Horinek, Samuel Tschager and Dominik Gentili - to the region on Saturday morning to take part in the 3rd BDG Enduro.

On Sunday morning there were only 4 left: Samuel Tschager had fallen ill and could not take part in the race. This was not to remain the only cancellation.
There were 4 stages on a completely new course on the programme, at 8.45 a.m. the first athlete, the indestructible old star of the Italian MTB scene Martino Fruet, started. Our boys were sent out on the course with the start numbers 5 (Dani), 18 (Dominik), 25 (Thomas) and 115 (Jo).

The first of the 4 stages went smoothly, but already in the 2nd stage Jo had a mishap: he damaged his rear rim irreparably and unfortunately had to give up the race. Dominik also crashed and had to take a short break, during which he lost a lot of valuable time and which threw him far behind in the standings. Daniel had taken the lead in the meantime with 2 very good runs; Thomas held on to 26th place.
Unfortunately, Dani was also hit in Stage 3: he went off the course in a bend and had to climb back onto the track - although the time loss was fairly limited, it threw him back to third place overall, which he finally achieved: 3rd place and podium for Dani. Thomas did not have a clean ride either, but was able to hold his position until the finish - 26th place for him. Dominik was a bit damaged due to his crash, which was noticeable in the last two stages, but he managed to finish in 64th position.
