Aosta Valley not a good place for our Enduro riders

This year the Aosta Valley was the venue for the National MTB Enduro Championships:
In La Thuile the green-white-red Italian champion jerseys of the Italian cycling federation FCI were awarded.

The Dynamic Bike Team from Eppan was represented by Ansaloni Thomas, Cavosi Daniel and Stricker Willy. During the training run on Saturday, all 3 were in good spirits to achieve a top result.
But already after the first of the 4 special stages on Sunday all hopes were dashed: neither Daniel nor Thomas and Willy fulfilled the requirements to be able to ride in the front. Crashes and driving errors ruined all plans.
Although Daniel, as a younger U21 rider, had to compete with the older elite riders, he still fell far short of his expectations with 26th place (+2:33 min). Thomas was almost 5 minutes behind the eventual winner and placed 47th.
Willy also had to struggle more than he would have liked, but at least made it to the extended podium in his age group (55-59 years) with 5th place.
