UCI MTB Enduro World Cup Finale Ligure

11-12/5/2024

Remarkable start to the MTB Enduro World Cup for Daniel Cavosi

Respectable performance for the young Daniel Cavosi from Eppan.
In his first year in the ELITE category, Dani was already able to make his mark at the first World Cup Race 2024 in the enduro mecca of Finale Ligure - which seemed almost impossible after completing the first of the 5 stages.

Daniel - who started the race with race number 100 - crossed the finish line of stage 1 in 93rd place with a broken rear derailleur. He managed to repair the problem in time before the second stage began.
The stages in this race were very long and extremely exhausting; the winning time on stage 3 alone was over 13 minutes! But Daniel had nothing to lose and was able to go on the attack. He was able to make up places in stages 2 and 3 and was already in 60th place overall in stage 4 when the race was interrupted due to a serious crash by a competitor. The stage was subsequently cancelled and therefore not counted.
On the 5th and final stage, Dani gathered his strength and with a clean run managed to work his way up to 56th place in the final classification.
Congratulations on this truly impressive performance!
