Great start to the season at the 8° GoEnduro in Gorizia

The enduro crew of the Eppan Dynamic Bike Team got off to a perfect start.
The scene was Monte Calvario near Gorizia (GO) close to the border with Slovenia: here, on Sunday 30 March, the 8th GoEnduro international race took place, the first stage of the ‘Triveneto Enduro Series’, which usually attracts talent not only from all over northern Italy, but also from Austria, Slovenia and Croatia.
Our two elite cracks Daniel Cavosi and Thomas Ansaloni were there, as well as 16-year-old Allievo Paul Marschall for the first time. We arrived on Friday evening, with the obligatory route inspection on Saturday. Contrary to the forecasts, the weather was reasonably stable and Sunday remained dry.
Our boys had 5 sections to complete - Paul ‘only’ had 4 in the youth category - and coped well with the course right from the start: there were just under 5 kilometres to complete with 660 metres of downhill. Daniel was on course for a podium finish right from the start and achieved 3rd place straight away in his first international appearance. Behind him, Thomas finished in 10th place in the open category, which was also pleasing for him. Paul also had a very good race in the youth category, finishing 31st in the Allievi category (16-year-olds).
