Association board

The association "Dynamic Bike Team" was newly founded in 1999 (formerly "Bike Club Überetsch", founded in 1991). At that time, Martin Giovanazzi held the first chairmanship with Werner Weiss as his deputy; other board members were Johanna Rinner (cashier) as well as Richard Palma, Albert Rinner, Guido Gottardi and Marcello Paternoster.

The board of the Dynamic Bike Team Eppan has been newly elected every three years since then.
The current committee (2022 - 2024) is composed as follows (photo below from left to right):

Child and Youth Protection – the "Safeguarding Officer"

The "Safeguarding Officer" is an internal person responsible for the protection of children and young people within the organisation. Their main role is to prevent and address abuse, violence, and discrimination. The responsibilities of this individual include:

  1. Monitoring and ensuring compliance with regulations related to the protection of minors.
  2. Taking proactive measures to ensure a safe environment for children and young people.
  3. Making reports if behaviours are observed that may put children and young people at risk.
  4. Collaborating with the management bodies of the amateur sports club and the relevant Safeguarding Officer of the sports federation or EPS, to respond to potential issues regarding abuse, violence, and discrimination in the respective sport discipline.

The "Safeguarding Officer" is a key figure in ensuring that all activities within the organisation are safe and that the rights and dignity of children and young people are respected.

Our coaches and support staff

The young talents of the Dynamic Bike Team are trained several times a week under the direction of head coach Ivan Endrizzi and the certified coaches - Moritz & Manuel Giuliani, Lorenz Psaier, Denise Meraner and Andreas Pichler - and supervisors, depending on their age, and accompanied to various races at home and abroad:

  • the "Kids MTB School" takes place once a week under the direction of Lorenz Psaier
  • the VSS group (7 - 12 years) is led by Manuel Giuliani and meets twice a week for training, and takes part in the races of the "VSS/Raiffeisen Jugend Trophy" racing series of the same name.
  • our Südtirol Cup group (13 - 16 years) also trains 2x per week and takes part in national and international youth races

The Teams

In cycling, as in almost all sports, races are the salt in the soup.
To measure yourself against your peers, to test your form, or simply to pedal away in the company of others:
There are many reasons to take part in a race.

We already offer the youngest ones the chance to get a taste of racing. The VSS/Raiffeisen Jugend-Trophy -> is an excellent way of slowly introducing the kids to competition and getting them used to the special atmosphere. With a wide variety of races in all parts of the country, spread over the whole season, these always take place among their peers.

With increasing age and after tesseration (MTB in Italy possible from the age of 13), participation in national and international competitions takes place. This is where the MTB Raiffeisen Südtirol Cup -> comes into its own, an MTB race series which is mainly in the discipline of cross country and is open to all categories.

So you will also find our adult racers, including one or two coaches, at these races. But not only cross country, also marathon races like the Ortler Bikemarathon or the HERO Südtirol Dolomites are very popular.
Our adult racers are also on the road a lot on their racing bikes. They participate in the popular Südtirol.Berg.Cup ->, in the northern Italian race series Alè Challenge, as well as in various races at home and abroad such as the Ötztaler Radmarathon and the Nove Colli. And also in the Enduro discipline, the Dynamic Bike Team can be found at various races in the Alpine region.

History of the club

Formerly Bici Club Appiano and Bike Club Überetsch-Oltradige, the club was newly founded and renamed in 1999:
the birth of the Dynamic Bike Team Eppan-Appiano!

At the present time (january 2024), the club has a total of about 180 members, most of whom come from Eppan and the neighbouring municipalities, but also from more distant parts of the country and even from abroad.

Of these, about 35 licensed youth and adult members actively participate in the various racing events - be it racing bike or mountain bike - at home and abroad.

And also the name Eva Lechner as well as Extreme cyclist Beat Hauser are also inseparably linked with our association.
