Youth - general info

The Dynamic Bike Team's junior team is divided into different age groups: our youth squad includes girls and boys from 7 to 18 years old. Our youngsters are trained and accompanied by our dedicated coaches and support staff.

The children's MTB school accepts children as young as 7 years old and accompanies them as they enter the world of mountain biking.
From this age onwards, the first children's races are contested, namely in the popular South Tyrolean race series VSS MTB Jugend Trophy-> a series of children's races for kids up to 12 years of age. The individual races take place in various parts of the country; no racing licence is required to take part.
The only requirement for participation is a valid certificate from the paediatrician.

From the age of 13, younger girls and boys already take part in national (and international) races, for which their own racing licence (Tessera FCI) is required. This licence is requested via the club.
Our main focus here is on the South Tyrolean mountain bike race series MTB Raiffeisen Südtirol Cup -> with races in South Tyrol and neighbouring Trentino. The discipline here is mainly Cross Country (XCO).
From the age of 13, a separate medical certificate must also be made for the sport of CYCLING: here, the certificate from the paediatrician is no longer valid, but a sports medical certificate for competitive sports must be presented.
This is issued by an accredited sports specialist, such as the Marienklinik in Bolzano, and is valid for 12 months from the date of issue (365 days).
